Big Island Glass Gallery

Big Island Guide Travel Guide

Hugh Jenkins and Stephanie Ross, established Big Island Glass Gallery in 2004.

The Gallery is in the historic sugar plantation town of Honokaa on the beautiful Hamakua Coast. The gallery features the glass art by Hugh and Stephanie as well as paintings and fine crafts by other island artists.

Having blown glass on the Big Island of Hawaii since 1999, they have collaborated in their home-based studio for many years. The island is represented heavily in their glass designs, the team works in response to their surroundings reflecting the ever-changing water, volcano, forest, landscape, and climate of the Big Island.

They are proud to be considered a nationally leading studio in the use of renewable energy, with reclaimed cooking oil as their main fuel for melting glass.
