2018 Update – The Kapoho Oceanfront House is Now Closed

Unfortunately this house was destroyed during the 2018 Kilauea Volcano Eruption and is now gone.

Pre 2018 Eruption Description

The Kapoho Oceanfront House was a two-bedroom, 2-bathroom house, elevated 20 feet off the ground, smack on the ocean on the southeast coast of Pahoa. This home included a master bedroom with a queen size bed and the second bedroom had a double bed, the entire house could accommodate a maximum of four people.

The elevated nature of the Kapoho Oceanfront House and the large windows on the building resulted in some of the most stunning ocean views found anywhere in Hawaii. The property also included a sizeable private deck, a fully-equipped kitchen, and internet access. The house wass located next to the beautiful Kapoho tide pools, perfect for snorkeling and swimming. A four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended to access the property due to the rough lava rocks from the nearby volcano.

There are several things to see and do in proximity to the Kapoho House – from alluring beaches to shopping, farmers markets, and stunning national parks. Guests surely have a lot to explore in this exotic part of Hawaii. The property was just 29 miles away from the Hilo International Airport. The Kapoho Oceanfront House was perfect for small families or couples traveling together, who wanted a relaxing yet active vacation in an exotic setting, anyone who wanted some quiet time, enjoys nature or being close to the ocean enjoyed staying at this unique Hawaiian property.
