Kuhio Grille has a family legacy in serving delicious native Hawaiian cuisine and is famous for the one pound Laulau, What is a Laulau? A Laulau is a Native Hawaiian dish consisting of pork, fish or beef wrapped in taro or luau leaf. Kuhio Grille’s Laulaus are so delicious that they provide frozen Laulaus to take home for those that can’t get enough.
Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Kuhio Grille offers daily specials, vegetable stir-frys, local-favorite lunch plates, and fresh desserts. Proprietors Sam and Nelline Araki established Kuhio Grille in 1995 as strong supporters of local farming initiatives. The annual ‘Taste of the Range’ event held every fall in Waikoloa Resort is a testament to their unwavering support of locally-grown meat and vegetables.
This local style restaurant offers great flavor and good value. If you’re hungry, try the Kuhio Grille Fried Rice Loco, imagine a mountain of their freshly “made to order” fried rice, topped with a juicy homestyle hamburger patty and egg and blanketed with their own signature brown gravy.
