The Manago Hotel is an older, plantation style hotel located in Captain Cook, 20 miles from the Kona International Airport and 12 miles from Kailua-Kona. From the slopes of Mauna Loa, hotel guests can relax and take in the view of Kealakekua Bay and enjoy meals in the hotel dining room that is famous for its great breakfasts and pork chop dinners.

The hotel has 42 rooms with private baths and 22 rooms that share a bath. Many of the rooms have balconies with ocean views. The hotel features a Japanese room with traditional Japanese decor including a Furo, Tatami mats, and a Futon.

The Manago Hotel is charming but rustic; no TVs or phones in the guest rooms but there is a guest lobby with a television where guests can commune. All rooms have ceiling fans and basic guest amenities. A fish pond and Japanese garden are located on the grounds of the hotel. The Manago is a clean and comfortable place for travelers who are budget conscious.
