Michael and Misato Mortara have been creating one-of-a-kind glass pieces for over 25 years. Originally from Oahu, they opened 2400 Fahrenheit in 2000. Their work has been featured in the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, the Contemporary Museum of Honolulu, the Four Seasons Hotel, Hilton Hotels, and the National Park Service.
Blown glass series of vessels and bowls, laminated series of cubic shapes and their sculptural series formed by a “hot casting” technique involving multiple parts reveal the glass’ inner beauty.
