Their vessel, the Dolce Vita (Italian for “Sweet Life”) is a lovely 34’ Gemini 105MC sailing catamaran that has recently been converted from diesel to renewable electric propulsion. Electric propulsion has less impact on marine wildlife; especially the whales, whose sonic lifestyles are highly sensitive to the loud noises of fossil fuel engines. The Dolce Vita is currently the only electric sailing charter vessel operating in the Hawaiian Islands.
Their experienced captain and crew guide your ocean adventure, providing local knowledge of the beautiful Kohala coast and all of its marine inhabitants. Whether you choose to stay in the boat or dip your toes into the water with some snorkeling, Kohala Blue makes every effort to provide for safety, fun, and photo-friendly moments you’ll keep forever. With their small group sizes, you’ll enjoy an intimate experience without all of the typical crowds you see on a boat tour.
