Naung Mai Thai Kitchen is a third-generation, Thai restaurant taking great pride in serving traditional, family-style Thai food. With a focus on the cuisine of central Thailand, you can choose the degree of “heat” and really get your Thai on!
Every dish on their menu is delicious and cooked with fresh, local Hawaiian produce supporting the local farming community and prepared in non-hydrogenated cooking oils. Raw Maui Cane sugar is used as their primary sweetener for their homemade sauces.
The Naung Mai Thai Kitchen staff is attentive, providing entree descriptions with pairing suggestions. This is a great lunch spot for excellent, traditional Thai food. A cozy dining room, but great food at a reasonable price and big on flavor and portions. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better value than this great Thai offering on the Hilo side of the Big Island.
