Enjoy the Art of Hula at the Merrie Monarch Festival
Visiting Hilo during the annual Merrie Monarch Festival is a wonderful opportunity to explore and enjoy traditional Hawaiian hula, arts and crafts, music, and fun local events.
South Kona Artists Collective is a group of professional artists, including painters, potters, glass workers, photographers, assemblage sculptors, jewelers, printmakers, woodworkers, fiber and mosaic artists, who share their work with visitors and island locals through an annual studio tour, events and exhibits on Hawaii Island. They hold an annual Artist Studio Tour each February and other pop-up art shows periodically.
SOKO 7th Annual Artists Studio Tour – February 26 & 27, 2022 – 9am-4pm
Visit 20 artists in their studios at 15 locations along the winding and scenic Mamalahoa Highway from Keauhou throughout South Kona to Honaunau. Plan on a full day of learning and talking with the artists about their inspiration and techniques. A wide range of fine art, smaller items and gifts are available for sale.
