Big Island Bees
One of the most unique and engaging farms you can experience on the Big Island, Big Island Bees offers tours and a great gift shop with their island-made goods.
Island Ono Loa Grill is a casual dining spot located in the Ali’i Sunset Plaza, just off Ali’i Drive. Specializing in burgers, hot dogs, specialty sandwiches and a few local dishes.
The burgers are char-grilled over lava rocks and the hot dogs are Vienna beef from Chicago. Their fish dishes are locally sourced from Hawaiian waters. The sweetbread buns are from the Punalu’u Bake Shop and they use Hawaiian lettuce, tomatoes and goat cheese.
Some of their sides include fresh cut fries, veggie side salad, pineapple coleslaw or for fifty cents more fresh cut onion rings. They do not serve alcohol but you may bring a bottle of wine or beer in with you.
