Mauna Lani Resort North & South Golf Courses

Big Island Guide Travel Guide

The Francis H. Li. Brown North and South golf courses are two of the most naturally beautiful 18-hole championship courses in Hawaii and are private courses attached to the Mauna Lani Resort. The resort, however, does allow visitors to use the courses. They are oceanfront courses and were designed by Homer Flint and Raymond Cain and opened to the public in 1981. On the north course, hole number 17 is a signature hole, and number 15 is a signature hole on the south course, these are two of the most photographed golf course holes on the Big Island, and players look forward to getting to these holes when playing. The South course has a length of 6,436 yards, while the north course is 6,601 yards in length.

The North and South courses of Mauna Lani have received the gold medal award from Golf Magazine for the past seven consecutive years and is one of the favorite places to host golf tournaments on the Big Island. They have hosted tournaments such as the Big Island Amateur Golf Championship and the Hawaii State Open among many others. The North and South courses of Mauna Lani also have available fully equipped pro shops, including golf clubs, golf shoes, apparel and other golfing memorabilia. Golf clubs are also available for rental.

Great News, the courses will remain open during the 2018-2019 resort renovation!
