With exquisite cuisine hidden down an unassuming street in Hilo, the Moon and Turtle has been revered as “the best restaurant on the Big Island!”

This restaurant has an intimate interior with seating capacity for around 40 including the bar. Moon and Turtle has an outstanding menu using farm fresh ingredients from some of the best of the Big Island’s dairy, cattle, pork, produce farms and seafood markets.

Your experience begins with beautifully appointed and delicious cocktails, crafted with fresh local Hawaiian produce, hand-squeezed juices to complement any libation.

Depending on season and availability, the menu offers everything from seafood to steak with unique chef-inspired creations you won’t find anywhere else. Moon and Turtle’s staff work together providing a professional and attentive atmosphere. You will see the owner/chef regularly checking on his customers.

Moon and Turtle is located a few blocks North of the Hilo Farmer’s Market and the Mo’oheau Bandstand on Kalakaua St. Reservations are suggested by calling ahead of time or if you leave a message; they’ll call back and confirm. Parking is a little challenging due to the lack of parking spaces in front of the restaurant, but there is free street parking about a block away.
