Holualoa Kona Coffee Company

Big Island Guide Travel Guide

Committed to organic farming methods and delivering the freshest product possible, the Holualoa Kona Coffee Company prides itself as an awarded producer of 100% pure Kona Coffee. Owners Desmond and Lisen Twigg-Smith make inventory ‘as you order’, as each bean is naturally grown, processed, roasted and warm packed to maintain its peak freshness.

The farm, located on the scenic Mamalahoa Highway along the Kona coffee belt, is the Kona Le’a Plantation mill. The totally organic farm covers a beautiful 360-acres grown with crops of coffee, banana, taro, cacao, citrus, mango, and papaya. The mill and roasting operation also processes coffee for over 100 neighboring Kona coffee farms.

Holualoa Kona Coffee Company is certified organic by the Hawaiian Organic Farming Association and practices sustainable farming and energy production through use of photovoltaic systems, human powered generators, vehicles that run on bio-fuel and working on developing ethanol production using the waste from coffee trees.
