Lava Light Gallery
Started by award winning photographers CJ Kale and Nick Selway in 2009, Lava Light Galleries features an incredible collection of fine art photographs showing the profound power of Hawaii’s Kilauea Volcano and the beauty of the Big Island of Hawaii. As the first daredevils to enter the surf and photograph lava entering the ocean through the curl of a wave, these two fearless photographers have captured Pele’s mystical tango with Mother Nature for all to adore. From dolphins frolicking in the azure, south Pacific ocean, expansive landscapes sleeping under crested rainbows and bamboo pathways luring you into botanical labyrinths, Lava Light Gallery celebrates the splendor of nature through the mastery of fine photography.
In 2013 Don and Linda Hurzeler joined the gallery and together, the team opened their showcase gallery in the Queen’s Marketplace. In 2018 Nick Selway moved to Breckenridge Colorado and opened a gallery there. Cj, Don & Linda continue to share their photography with Hawaii through their Lava Light Gallery and online.
