Big Island Bees
One of the most unique and engaging farms you can experience on the Big Island, Big Island Bees offers tours and a great gift shop with their island-made goods.
From Castaway IPA to Big Wave Golden Ale to Pipeline Porter and everything in between, you know that when you dine at Kona Brewing Company, you will be getting a great meal and an even better beer selection.
Known internationally for their Big Wave and Longboard beers, Kona Brewing Company is popular with visitors and locals alike. With a lively and fun atmosphere as well as a great menu, Kona Brewing Company is just as well-known for their amazing service and warm hospitality, as much as for their extensive high-quality beer selection.
If you can’t decide on which beer to try, have a sampler so you can try a variety. Since you’re on the Big Island, try some of their seasonal options that are only served at the brewery. They have a good offering in nearly every style of beer, some of our favorites are the Lemongrass Luau, Koko Brown, Kua Bay IPA, and Pipeline Porter.
If you happen to be at the Kona Brewing Company on the first or third Friday of the month, they tap a special keg that their brewers cook up and it’s served that evening until the keg runs out. You can also enjoy some of this delicious beer goodness at home, by getting your growler filled at the Growler Shack in front of the pub.
The food served here is fun pub fare with exceptionally good quality for a casual eatery. Some of the most popular dishes at the pub include the great-tasting pizzas, the delicious ahi poke, and the yummy pork nachos. The Captain Cook Pizza and Kale Salad are our go to favorites. For being known as a beer and pizza place, their fish is really fresh and tasty too, and their spicy poke is very good.
Kona Brewing Company is known for being a family-friendly establishment, and there are options for either indoor or outdoor seating. And, don’t forget to pick up a Kona Brewing Company T-shirt or hat on your way out! For a great meal, amazing beer, and an overall fun vibe look no further than Kona Brewing Company. They are very popular so the wait can be long at the prime meal times. If you’re a real beer lover or just interested in how they brew their beer, take the Brewery Tour. It’s fun and you get to taste several beers at the end! If you’re in Kona in March you can also attend the Kona Brew Fest, where you can sample beer from numerous local and regional breweries.
