Kona Sweets is a quaint owner-operated bakery located inside Gypsea Gelato in Kealakekua, Hawaii. Established in 2011, Janel Panek has been baking since 1988. Kona Sweets provides beautiful, delicious, hand-crafted cakes and pastries for any occasion from wedding to birthday. Every one of Janel’s creations is made from scratch and to order using real butter, cage-free local eggs, unbleached flour and local natural, organic ingredients.
The cakes are moist with delicious flavors and decorative textures. Janel’s cream cheese filling is selected harmoniously for each cake flavor and her European style buttercream frosting blanketing her work is a baker’s delight. As each cake requires time, skill, and design, a 25% non-refundable deposit is requested at the time of special order.
