Praised by both the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times alike, Merriman’s is proud to offer a locally-sourced menu, as well as unique and creative culinary creations that are nothing short of delicious.

The restaurant has won several awards, including the Diner’s Choice Award in 2015, the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator Magazine, and named the Best Big Island Restaurant by Honolulu Magazine over 15 years. Merriman’s is also highly focused on helping others, their mission statement is geared towards giving back to the community, and the owner and executive chef, Peter Merriman, believes in always doing the right thing, no matter what.

Each staff member at Merriman’s learns to “respect the land that feeds, and the people who produce the food”. The famed chef is a proud advocate of farmers, fisherman, and ranchers, and is well-known around town as the original locavore.
