Oceans Sports Bar and Grill is one of Kona’s best-kept secrets. With open-air seating and multiple flat screen TVs, it makes for an enjoyable, laid-back sports bar atmosphere.
Food is delicious and reasonably priced with a Mahi-Mahi Fish and Chips special Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday try their tacos with hand-made corn tortillas complimented by a special Margarita. With a daily happy hour and excellent service in a low-key setting, this is a good place to relax and save some money while on the Big Island.
Their Kalua Pork, Blackened Mahi-Mahi, Grilled Shrimp, and Calamari are delicious. Good selection of beers – many on tap. The owner is friendly and always greeting patrons. Located along Ali’i Drive in the Coconut Grove shopping area, Ocean Sports hosts live local music artists.
TIP: If you are looking for some seriously excellent and affordable soft chicken, steak or pork tacos, check out their street taco’s located behind the building. You won’t be disappointed.
