Big Island Lava Boat Tours
No visit to the Big Island is complete without heading out to see molten lava. There are many ways to see the flows but a Lava Boat tour is a real treat.
For authentic fresh flavors, generous portions and a reasonable price make sure to stop at Tuk Tuk Thai Food Truck. This great little food truck will give any brick and mortar restaurant a run for their money, when it come to flavor and quality they really are fantastic. Some of our favorite menu items are the pad thai, the crazy noodles, the pumpkin curry, the avocado curry and the fried spring rolls. For a beverage, be sure to try the Thai ice tea or the Thai green ice tea, both delicious and refreshing.
To get the freshest produce possible they buy from local farmers and farmer markets in the area. The food truck is located in the Cooper Center which has a lovely park, a playground, bathrooms and several picnic tables to have your meal. The truck isn’t hard to spot with it’s iconic bright green paint job. The food is made fresh once you have ordered, so on a busy day, it can take a few minutes to get your meal, but it’s worth the wait. You can also phone your order in ahead of your arrival for easy pick-up if you’re in a hurry. To give a hand to the environment most of the packaging they use is eco-friendly.
