Frenchman’s Cafe

Big Island Guide Travel Guide

This is a wonderful, quiet little spot to meet your friends for breakfast; it’s a pastry shop, creperie, and restaurant. Located in the heart of Kona right off Ali’i Drive, Frenchman’s Cafe is tucked away in a shopping center but it’s definitely worth the search. The dishes are beautiful and even more delicious. It’s a fantastic breakfast spot and has incredibly friendly service.

The atmosphere is very relaxed and pleasant and the owners, originally from France, are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. The food can quickly bring back memories of Paris and sidewalk cafes.

A sweet little place, the menu board offers a wide variety of sandwiches, omelettes, crêpes and desserts as well as a selection of special coffee drinks, tea, and even hot chocolate. The menu items will sound familiar to those who have been to France. We like that they offer both sweet and savory crêpe options.

The price of the food is reasonable and the quantity good. This is one of our favorite breakfast spots in Kona. They go above and beyond to make incredible dishes and you surely won’t be disappointed.
